This magnificent view is one that ends up on a lot of the cameras that visit Yosemite National Park as only a car is necessary to access the viewpoint.
Tunnel View is what one sees as one exits the Wawona Tunnel on Route 41 heading North into Yosemite Valley.
On the left of the frame is a rock climber's dream: the very vertical southwest face of El Capitan, which rises 910 meters (3000 feet).
Half Dome and Bridal Veil Falls are both visible on the right.

ReplyDeleteEverything outside of the Britain is on an entirely different scale - the tree-filled valley, the cliffs = wow!
ReplyDeleteI have only been up Arthur's Seat twice - once in Freshers' Week, once on a field trip, never with my camera. It is quite steep in parts, but fairly accessible for most people. And the views! From both the castle and the hill, you can see across the country to the Highlands, 100km away (well, on a good day anyway!)
